Discrimination has once again been written in to a state's constitution, this time in California (similar bans were also passed in Florida and Arizona). For those who are sick and tired of America not living up to its promise of equality for all of its citizens, join us Saturday, November 15, at 12:30 CST. Bring signs (you can print them out from the website or make your own) and come make your voice heard.

Also, invite all your friends to come as well.

9:35AM:  MSNBC reports that there have already been problems in Kansas City, Missouri due to some voter rolls being delivered to the wrong polling places.  No word yet on how this problem is being handled or when it will be fixed.

12:55PM:   All polling places have received the correct voter rolls after getting the wrong ones once or even twice.  Short lines have been reported across the area.

Election Day

If anyone cares, I just posted all my picks for tomorrow's ballot in my personal journal. I tried to look into everything on the ballot, including the judges, propositions, and amendments. Even if you disagree with my reasoning, you may find some of the informational links useful.

I'm taking tomorrow off from work to volunteer with the Obama campaign. Let's all hope for the outcome we want and need! I heard that Missouri is the closest state in terms of polling, so it's going to depend on footwork to get all our votes out. Volunteer if you can!

Election Night: Get a front row seat to history
KC Progressives--

Yesterday the McCain campaign said they would outspend our campaign by $10 million in the final days. This is on top of recent news that, as of October 15th, our opponents had $20 million more in the bank than our campaign and the DNC combined.

As of this morning, they may be able to outspend us -- but your generosity in response to my last email gives me hope that by the end of the day, we can rise to the challenge.

We knew the McCain campaign was saving its resources for a last-minute blitz, and now we know just how much they'll pour into it.

No matter what, we need to match what our opponents are spending in the final stretch. We can't slow down between now and Election Day.

And if you give again today -- any amount -- you could be one of 5 previous donors who will have a front row seat for the big Election Night event in Chicago with Barack.

Can you make a donation of $25 or more right now?

Make a donation and you could get a front row seat to history

I track the donations coming in, and there's no doubt about it -- supporters like you have fundamentally changed how presidential campaigns are funded. You drive this campaign.

That's why Barack wants you to be there on Election Night as the results come in.

If you're selected, we'll fly you and a guest in and put you up in a hotel. You'll go backstage at the big event and -- no matter what happens -- you'll have a front row seat to history as we celebrate the supporters who got us over the finish line.

Any donation counts -- whatever you can afford. Make a donation of $25 or more before midnight Sunday and you could have a front row seat to history on Election Night:

These last 3 days, we have to redouble our efforts. And we're counting on you more than ever before.

Let's make this happen.

P.S. -- If you can't make a donation, you can help get us across the finish line by volunteering to help get out the vote:

Barack in KC

In case you haven't heard yet, Barack Obama will be in town for a rally at Liberty Memorial on Saturday. Gates open at 4:00.

I'm starting to feel some real hope that the nightmare of evil and stupidity of the past eight years will finally be over soon.

McCain's camp is up with a new commercial. It accuses Obama's team of "false, misleading attacks" against Palin... even though they've pointedly made no attacks and in fact condemned attacks against her, something underlined by the fact that when the McCain campaign was asked to cite specific attacks Obama's group has made against Palin, they had no response. It compares Obama to a wolf stalking in the woods, showing dark footage of same, and cites FactCheck.org as saying that many of the attacks against Palin online are false... but then it bullshits and spins and ties those attacks to Democrats somehow, and completely avoids the many, MUCH more evidence on FactCheck.org for all the things Palin has lied outright about in every single one of her identical speeches. They COUNT on America's ignorance and stupidity. They trust you not to look at the web site they cite, because they know you're too stupid.

It says that "As Obama falls, he'll try to destroy her" in regards to Palin. It's a brilliant strategy because if he even tries to counter with the facts, now he'll be playing right into what they just announced.

And of course, if I know the Obama campaign, I know they won't issue any kind of response ad or even try to defend themselves or point out the truth and illustrate the lies. They'll throw the campaign and let themselves get bowled over with lies, just like John Kerry did.

I'm so disgusted right now there are no words.
